River Way is a residential area and would benefit from a LTN designation.I suggest blocking River Way between Stour Way and Old Barn Rd to stop traffic using River Way as a rat-run. It would then become a safer cycle route to link Jumpers t ... [more]

It can be very tricky to cross the road at the top of Evening Hill - please could consideration to a crossing here be given.

This is a difficult crossing as there are cars parked on the northern side of Lilliput Rd and it bends as the road goes up the hill, cars travelling east naturally pick up speed and are hardest to spot - a combined cycle and pedestrian cros ... [more]

This is quite a difficult right hand turn on a bike as going up a hill with a blind summit. I have also witnessed a car-to-car near miss turning right out of Blake Hill Cresent onto Antony's Avenue. It may work to reduce the speed along A ... [more]

At Swithun’s Road, Southcote Road and Drummond Road. Work needed to stop rat run, improve cycle safety and bumping up on pavements which have been wrecked. Ideal route for cyclists and pedestrians between Boscombe and Travel interchange.

A traffic filter would look great here and be observed working by our local councillor.

Pedestrian crossing. Almost daily issues with cars not stopping and near misses whilst on the crossing with my young children. A death waiting to happen. Traffic light, flashing lights or lollipop person would solve the issue

Used as a rat run to avoid Poole Road. Excessive speed as no calming measures implemented, 20mph signs ignored.

Have had numerous near misses on this zebra crossing with cars not stopping or slowing down despite me actually being half way across the crossing with my children. Every day I see drivers speeding through this crossing with people half way ... [more]

This part of St Mary’s Rd seems far too much through traffic - filter would be great here.

Either ban on street parking or ban large vehicles using stour road station side to create space for safe cycling and pedestrian routes particularly with the number of school children using this route. This would also improve traffic flow a ... [more]

Crossing Petersfield at the junction to Harewood Avenue to get to and from school is a terrible accident waiting to happen. Hundreds of children and parents trying to cycle and walk across Petersfield while cars are travelling up and down e ... [more]

I have almost been hit by cars at this junction a number of times as the view up Oak Avenue is often obscured by parked cars/vans. Double yellow lines for a good distance either side of the junction would make a difference.

Wasted council money now a dangerous roundabout

Surely having the filter here rather than at the Fernside Rd Junction would cause less disruption to residents of Churchfield Rd, removing the need for an excessive diversion via Civic Centre gyratory while retaining the benefit?

Cycle lanes on the promenade would be very dangerous. They will lead to increased speeding and how will families in beach huts stay safe? It would be dangerous to cross to the sea. The promenade is for walkers and beach and beach hut users.

Congestion, dangerous parking and not enough space for pedestrians or cyclists during school run. Create 1-way system. Probably 2 anticlockwise loops with left turns only, including Windsor Road, Kimberley Rd, Powell Rd and Alton Rd.

This road is on the recommended cycle route and signposted so. Unfortunately cars use it as a cut through to avoid the main Alma Road and tend to speed down it causing it to be unsafe for cyclists who have been directed to go that route by ... [more]

Terrible traffic run through, too fast, inconsiderate. Many children use this road to go to school, the lollipop lady puts her life on the line every time she steps out into the road!! Please close the road to traffic!!

Block the road to stop dangerous rat run. Also to stop drug dealers outside Alexandra Park.

Used as a rat run to avoid Poole Road. Excessive speed as no calming measures implemented, 20mph signs ignored.

One way. Would improve parking for residents as well as prevent rat runs. Would suggest only Weymouth road is the 1 way.

Wellington Rd is used as a rat run for vehicles which are avoiding congestion on Penn Hill Ave, Woodside Rd and Kingsbridge Rd. As this is a residential road with cars parked on either side and with an increasing number of young families an ... [more]

Alexandra Road has had traffic issues for many years, the traffic calming measures introduced have simply not worked. If anything it has created a one lane race track. There have been numerous accidents over the last few years. 80% of tr ... [more]

Pedestrian Crossing with loud beeping sound

There is some form of crossing furniture but without the lolly pop man it is very dangerous with poor and too short sight lines.improved traffic calming measures should be added to enable safe crossing.

This is a very dangerous crossing, a consequence of a historic changing of the junction. Cars turn left at 30 mph. It is neither simply safe to cross nor cycle along.

Brailswood Road is used as a cut through to access Jolliffe Road and Wimborne Road. Cars pass by at speed as there are no speed humps unlike on Jolliffe Road. Making this road a no through road to traffic would really help.

It is impossible to social distance at school drop off and pick up times without walking on the road. Road changes should be made outside all schools to protect and prioritise pedestrians on the road at these times

Speed bumps, this road is used as a cut through.

Lights for pedestrian crossing. It is too dangerous to cross this road on foot / bike.

Very rushed area due to the schools being near by. Pavements can be narrow during school times.

Cars speeding on residential roads. At least signage saying 20mph with road humps at Stour Road to show entering 20mph zone.

Lots of room for walking but no room for cycling

Remove traffic lights as this is causing a bottleneck for road traffic, make Whitelegg Way a dual carriageway with a layby for a bus stop. Make this section of Wimborne Road Westbound only. Encourage cyclists to use Wimborne Road by convert ... [more]

Make Tuckton bridge bus, cycle and pedestrian only.

Should be a speed camera on Newfoundland Drive in Poole. The Road speed says 20MPH almost everyone does 35/40mph. Many people have a problem crossing the road. This needs changing. Maybe a speed camera or pedestrian crossing is needed.

Cars and lorries use Gwynne Road and Layton Road as a rat run to avoid the Homebase roundabout. Closing this point to traffic would stop this and make the streets safer and quieter.

Modal filter. Broadlands and Brightlands Avenues are being used as rat runs between The Broadway, and Wick Lane. The speed limit is more often than not, exceeded.

Dangerous junction. Make no entry from traffic lights to Victoria Park Rd

Traffic uses this road as a rat run. Putting a modal filter in will move the traffic back on the the main arterial routes.

Modal filtering required here to stop use of rat run between A35 and Harewood Ave. Area is full of children, dog walkers and cyclists. Cars speed in this area regularly.

Southbourne Road between Beresford Road and Christchurch Road A35 needs modal filtering as its used as a rat run. Too many parked cars and cyclists makes it dangerous.

Filter to slow traffic, many children locally and elderley residents. Also route used for school access.

Route used as rat run to access Talbot ave often at excessive speed. Restrict access to residence only and cut of as through route

Slowing down road traffic to encourage vehicles to stop more consistently for the zebra crossing

Traffic Calming, cars speed upwards of 50-60 mph

Traffic calming is needed the only way to do is by narrowing the lanes to right of way

It is used as a rat run and there is no safe pavement. The cars should be going past Taylor Drive (which does have a path) and not along the road and around the sharp corner by The Piggery farmhouse.

Reduce speed limit through Southbourne high street to 20mph. Many people cross the high street, and as pavements are not wide past all the shops people have to walk on road to avoid queues which are now happenong outside shops. Cars do n ... [more]

Its a rat run at peak times, I nearly got killed while stationary at the junction of Cynthia Rd and Brixey Rd by white man van who ploughed head on into me as he cut the corner.

Princess Road is used as a rat run with cars using excessive speed. It needs to have calming measures or be made a No Through Road.

Parked cars either side of road and traffic cannot pass at peak school pickup/drop off times. Should be one way in opposite direction to Court Road with left only turn into Charminster Road

This end of Roslin Road should be made an exit only into Talbot Road, and prevent access from Talbot / Woodend Road. There are a LARGE number of cars that cut through from Woodend to Roslin to avoid the Wiinton Banks lights.

Filter this end of the street to erase the corner-cutting 50mph cars

Close Somerville Road to school traffic. The road and footpaths are too narrow for the large numbers of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists attending the school. There is no safe route for push chairs and wheel chairs.

Close the bottom end of Victoria Crescent where it meets Alcester Road to close rat run

Branksome Chine is supposed to be "no cycling", but the BCP Council do not enforce the bylaw.
