Bridge ramp covered with needles fallen from the adjacent tree

Single barrier, other part of chicane has been removed. Lots of pine needles and other debris.

Shared use path next to the church. Narrowed by grass encroaching on one side.

Cycle path and signage no longer matches up with the dropped kerb onto the roundabout since the "improvements" on Newfoundland Drive

Terrible infrastructure

Huts line the beach at Mudeford Sandbank where this ferry from Mudeford Quay is taking its passengers. The westbound cyclist is following a detour from ncr 2 at this point, along a local route to Hengistbury Head and Bournemouth sea front.

Brand new old school 1970 style cycle infra Branksome wood rd. Bournemouth. The money's clearly run out https://t.co/oGEgiIQnyd

Non standard and easily misinterpretable signage at Bournemouth rail station, intended to signify a shared use pathway. Not supported by any other signs!

Attractive street furniture at Friedas Cafe, Stafford Road Bournemouth

See http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-28170665 It says that 25,000 people per day walk across this level crossing. It is a headache for the rail company - but they've decided that they can't do anything more about it to improve ... [more]

Dangerous for cyclists on all junctions for the two bridges! This cyclist was going way to cross Twin Sails Bridge!

Sign for vehicles leaving a petrol station across a cycle path/footway.

Cycle track on the footway beside a busy dual-carriageway, crossing petrol station access.

Road closure, creating a cycling alternative to the newer parallel road.

Riverside path in Christchurch - cycling presumably allowed, although there's little sign of it here,

'One Less Car' - cyclist on one-way street in Christchurch (and painted pedestrian lane).

Pedestrian access only to the ducking stool!

Cycling seems to be possible (no signs for or against) along this backwater in Christchurch.

Christchurch - definitely a footpath only on the near side of this backwater, cycling possible (no signs for or against) on the far side.

Station cycle parking

Local cycle network signage in eastern Queens Park, Bournemouth.

Token cycle parking (maybe the Borough forced them to put some stands in or something) at Fitness First, Queens Park South Drive.

Chicanes on that footpath, between St. Ledger's and Bethia Road. If these two chicanes were removed, ...well: we'd have an alright cycleway 'ere.

'No cycling' sign at the western end of that footpath between Howard Road and Burnham Drive.

Footpath between Howard Road and Burnham Drive. No cycling, though; bit of a shame.

No cycling, or cleaned signs, in Bournemouth. This sign refers to a footpath that links South Drive (that little loop of tarmac in the bottom of the photo) to the subway under the A338.

A rather random little cycleway stub-slip thing, at the end of Soberton Road. The local cycle network heads 'round the the left, then down to the tunnel under the A338.

Route sign, detailing destinations in Bournemouth.

This route sign is facing the wrong way. It's pointing into the bushes; it should be point towards that tree in the foreground.
